My Creative Space


Lots of random projects in my space lately.
One is patchwork pieces sewn for some zippered pouches
(Amy Butler Love fabric & fabric from Green Couch Studio on SpoonFlower)



This cute boho dress pattern from Patricia Bravo and her fabric. I am excited about this pattern because a DVD is included and I really think it will help me with sewing clothes. I have skirts pretty much figured out but I have the hardest time with tops. Particularly the sleeves!

Lastly,
I've been having so much fun with the gathering foot I purchased last week. I've made a few little things just playing around with it and can't wait until I get some more sewing time to practice more.

 
I'm short on computer time today so will be visiting everyone elses Creative Space tomorrow.  :)

    I've been hearing lots of people talk of these gathering feet lately! Look like a fun attachement!

    Hope the DVD helps in the sewing! I've used lots of u-tube videos to help me learn tricky bits - definitely helpful to see the process done rather than just static pictures!

    Now I'm wondering if I have a gathering foot - I seem to have lots of sewing machine feet that I've never used (and don't know what they are!) - you've inspired me to take a look!!!

    that dress on the left looks so cute. sometimes half the fun of making something is just daydreaming about what and how you'll make it. a dvd... great idea, so many of us are visual learners! good luck!!

    The patchwork is looking interesting, and I love what you are doing with your new gathering foot! The only gathering I have done was by hand... slightly tedious. Is it a little bag? Thanks for the fabric info :)
