Habitat

So I am still sick and it's frustrating because days have gone by and I've felt too bad to do anything creative.

I DID feel much better though when this package arrived.

Habitat Stack
Isn't this fabric line wonderful? It's Jay McCarroll's Habitat and I I haven't been this obsessed about a line since AMH Good Folks.
Once I saw the fabric in person I realized I should have gotten more. This is the City collection. There are two more and I think I am going to get both in fat quarter bundles and then maybe a yard of my favorites.
I want to make a zig-zag quilt like this (4th photo down).
Anyways, I will wait and see if I can find more in another shop. If not I guess I'll have to bother Spool again. :)

City fqs
Sadly I won't get to sew anything with it for awhile since I am going to Florida in a couple days. My work office is moving and we have to be off next week. I would love to sew during that time but I really need to get out in some warm weather and get some vitamin D.

Ruby & Ty

Jan2 021
It has finally arrived!!! I had almost all of the prints in my cart at one point but when I went to get some fabric from a different collection half of the Ruby Star Rising prints I had sold out! Hopefully there will be another batch ordered or I'll find another shop with some.

Still I got 5 prints and love them all so I guess I can't complain. Does anyone else have any prints from this collection? It's nice quality and I can't decide what to make with it...

I think out of the ones I purchased the cups/teapots on gray is my favorite. :}

I also got 3 prints out of Ty's line and after seeing it in person am going to get some more for a quilt. I really love the colors and it will feel good to make something not pink for a change.

I can't wait until the weekend to start sewing with these new lines.

Artful Blogging, Vintage Fabric, and De-Stash Preview

Artful Blogging
Nothing beats a lazy Sunday with the latest Artful Blogging and my vintage fabric I scored the other day. It's been a long time since I've found good fabric and they looked even better after I washed the thrift store funk off and folded them.
They are just perfect for a future quilt.

I've spent most of the weekend though going through fabric. I simply must get rid of all this and hope to make at least a little bit of cash back for my new project I have in mind. Here is a small photo of some fat quarters I've gone through so far. I still have a long way to go and will not list anything until I return from NY (23rd).
Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend.
